Story

This October, our team will be climbing to the elevation of Mt. Everest on the Mt. Ainslie trail in BA gear. This equates to 32km climbed by each team member.

‘Ainslie to Everest’ is shining a light on mental health and raising critical funds for Lifeline Canberra. The annual event sees firefighters from ACT Fire & Rescue, in teams of 5, challenge themselves carrying breathing apparatus, walking the equivalent vertical distance of a trek up Mt Everest per team.

It costs Lifeline roughly $26 for the resources to answer a life-saving call. For every $26 donated, Lifeline can help save one more life. As first responders on the front line it’s a cause close to firefighter’s hearts.

Please support our efforts by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support.

Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly to Lifeline Canberra.

Thank you so much for your support!
